First Year Undergraduate Insights Day: 30/03/17

This event is open to first year undergraduate students who are interested in finding out more about working in Fund Management. You will have the opportunity to hear from successful employees at M&G as well as networking and a Q&A session with further M&G employees, including current and former graduates. The day will include workshops and employability skills sessions.

Applications from students with a non-Finance background are encouraged. Please only register for one Insights Day.

Speakers: Jonathon Willcocks and Pierre Chartres

Jonathan Willcocks
Jonathan Willcocks joined the industry in 1986, beginning his career with Hambros Bank in the Investment Management Division. Having moved into Investment Sales from Hambros, he joined Prolific as Regional Sales Manager in 1993 responsible for marketing mutual funds to intermediaries in East Anglia and West Midlands. Following the merger with Aberdeen in 1997, he became Investment Sales Director, having additional responsibility for clients in London and Switzerland. He moved to US investment house MFS in 2001 as Sales Director, responsible for sales into UK and Scandinavia before joining M&G Investments in February 2005 where he is now Managing Director for Global Retail Sales.

Jonathan’s current responsibilities include being a board member, distribution strategy and overseeing all sales channels in the UK, Europe, Middle East, South Africa and Asia. Jonathan is also a Fellow of the UK Securities Institute, and a Chartered Wealth Manager. He also now sits on the UK IMA Investment Funds Committee.

Pierre Chartres
Pierre Chartres joined M&G in 2013 and is an Investment Specialist dedicated to M&G’s retail fixed income funds. His role involves explaining the investment philosophy, process and performance of M&G’s fixed income fund range, as well as providing updates on overall financial market performance, investment trends and the economic outlook.

Previously, Pierre worked at BNY Mellon Asset Management for seven years, most recently as a portfolio strategist designing, developing and managing multi-asset, multi-manager investment solutions. Prior to that, he spent two and a half years at Natixis Asset Management in Paris.

He has a Masters-level degree in business and finance from ESSCA Business School, Angers, France and is a CFA charterholder.

Women in Fund Management Insights Day: 03/04/2017

Speakers: Ritu Vohora and Jenny Rodgers

Ritu Vohora
Ritu joined M&G in May 2005. Ritu is an Investment Director and heads up investment communications on portfolio construction, investment risk and markets across the equity fund range.

She graduated from Warwick Business School with a BSc (honours) degree in Accounting and Finance in 2003 and subsequently gained an MSc in Management & Regulation of Risk at the London School of Economics in 2004. Ritu has completed the UKSIP level 3 certificate in investment management (IMC) and is a CFA charterholder.

Jenny Rodgers
Jenny Rodgers is a member of the Macro & Multi Asset Investment Team at M&G and is Co-Fund Manager of the M&G Episode Growth Fund. Jenny joined Prudential Portfolio Managers (now M&G) in 1994, initially analysing European equity markets and acting as a Portfolio Manager for external clients. She has been part of the Macro Investment team led by Dave Fishwick since it was established in 1999.

Jenny is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a BA Honours in Economics from Exeter University.

Speakers: Julian Hince and Mario Eisenegger

Julian Hince
Julian joined M&G in 2011 as Technical Development Director to create and bring to market a generic investment training service, Learning Matters. He is now Technical Development Director, Head of Learning Matters.

Prior to joining M&G Julian worked at iShares, Gartmore and Invesco Perpetual, and has worked within the fund management industry for the past 25 years, the past 15 years of which he has been delivering investment training.

Julian is a holder of the Diploma in Financial Planning, the Investment Management Certificate, the Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management and is a CII accredited financial planning trainer.

Mario Eisenegger
Mario joined M&G in February 2015 as an Associate Investment Specialist providing support for the M&G Retail Fixed Interest fund range. Prior to this Mario was an Associate Director at UBS, where he was a senior client adviser to private clients and a deputy branch manager.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Northwestern in Switzerland, and speaks German and Swiss German.
