How long does it take to apply online?
It should take about 20 minutes to register online and complete the application form. To find out more read our recruitment process information.
Who do I contact if I experience issues completing the registration form?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating the full scheme name that you would like to apply to and the nature of your issue.
Who do I contact if my application will not submit?
Please check to see that the closing date has not passed as applications cannot be submitted after that date. If you're still experiencing difficulties please email email@example.com.
How can I track the progress of my application?
Please log on to your candidate account to see your status.
Can I apply to more than one role?
For all schemes, you can only apply to one role. If you realise through the process that you are more interested in another scheme please let us know and will look into whether it is possible to transfer your application.
Can I re-apply should I be unsuccessful?
You can re-apply the next year if you are unsuccessful, however please ensure that you re-apply via your previous candidate profile and provide the details of your previous application on the registration form.
Do you offer deferred entry for your programmes?
We do not offer deferred entry.
Does M&G sponsor visas?
M&G supports visa applications for graduate roles. We are unable to provide sponsorship for internships. However, if you're in full-time education in the UK under the Tier 4 (General) category, current regulations may permit you to take on temporary employment during holiday periods or as part of your studies.
How can I update/edit any detail supplied on my registration form?
Please log in as a returning candidate, and select ‘Edit’ next to the relevant job application. You can now edit and update your registration form details, please ensure that you select ‘Save and Continue’ at the bottom of the page. Once you select ‘Save and Continue’ this information will be available to the Graduate and Apprentice Team.
My circumstances have changed. How do I remove myself from the application process?
Please log in and “withdraw” your application in your candidate account. If you have been invited to interview, please also contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know.
How do I remove my profile from the database?
You will need to send an email to email@example.com and request this to be carried out.
What are the technical requirements for the online tests?
We want you to have the best chance to succeed. Please ensure that you have:

How can I prepare for the online tests?
Our online tests are provided by Capp & Co. We recommend that candidates prepare for the online assessment process by completing the practice tests provided by Capp. These are available at http://practice.cappassessments.com/.
What is the time limit for the online tests?
The Capp M&G Assessment Suite is time-recorded, as distinct from time-limited. This means that your time taken will contribute to your overall score, but you will not have a time limit to complete the tests in. You should work as quickly and as accurately as possible to achieve the best results.
Can I have special adjustments for my assessments?
If you have a condition that makes you eligible for extra time, you should notify us of this in your application and provide supporting documentation so we can update the assessment to include the relevant adjustments. Can I get feedback on my performance of online tests?
Every candidate that completes the Capp Ability Suite can receive a bespoke feedback report with information about their performance on the three online tests, including advice on how to maximise their potential in the future.
What are the technical requirements for completing a video interview?
Our Video interviews are taken online through a video interview provider called HireVue. Before you start your video interview, please ensure you have the following:
Specific webcam control software is not necessary, as this will be dealt with by the online interface. Please close any webcam control software before continuing with your video interview.
How can I prepare for the interview questions?
Preparation for the interview questions is included as part of your interview process on HireVue. We want to see the real you, so we recommend that you ensure that you understand why you have chosen M&G and try to focus on providing natural responses to the questions asked.
Can I reclaim travel costs?
We reimburse up to £150 for a standard class return journey for face-to-face interviews or assessment centres. You will need to fill out our Reimbursement Form and send us original copies of receipts to our London office. It can take up to 3 weeks for you to receive your reimbursement after the team receives the required form and receipts.
Who do I contact if I experience issues with my online tests?

When can I expect to receive updates on the progress of my application?
Our team review applications as quickly as possible, however this can take some time due to the large number of applications. Candidates will receive an email updating them of any progress at each stage and additionally any status changes will be reflected on your candidate profile. Emails can occasionally be redirected to junk folders, please ensure that noreply.M&Gemail@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com are all saved as a ‘safe sender’ on your email account. You can use the ‘My Emails’ tab on your candidate login to check that you have received all emails sent. We ensure all candidates receive a response at all stages.
I had mitigating circumstances that affected my A levels result. Can I still apply?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with proof from your school of your mitigating circumstances and we will treat them on a case by case basis.
I didn’t study A-levels, how do I know if I have the required UCAS points?

Do you offer short work experience?
Unfortunately M&G is unable to offer official short work experience placements.
When do you recruit Apprentices during the year?
We recruit all year round to different positions across the business. Applications are usually accepted about 2-3 months before start date.
How many Apprentices do you recruit for each role?
We usually recruit 1 Apprentice per role.
Could I do an Apprenticeship before going to university or as part of a placement year?
Our Apprenticeship schemes are permanent roles intended to start you in your career post A-levels. M&G will train you as an Apprentice for the first 18 months during which you complete your NVQ, technical certificate and objectives.
Is there a guarantee of a permanent contract after the Apprenticeship?
You will have a permanent role at the end of your Apprenticeship training as long as you have completed your NVQ, technical certificate and objectives.
Is the Apprenticeship rotational?
The scheme is not rotational, so you are able to build up relationships and skills in the area you are hired into.
