Alternative investments play a critical role in shaping our society, and can deliver positive, real-world outcomes while generating uncorrelated returns for investors, but knowledge is crucial. With over 25 years’ experience actively investing in alternative assets, our scale and long-established network of investment partners provide us access to some of the best opportunities, enabling us to build highly diversified, differentiated portfolios that can tilt to emerging and innovative themes as the market evolves while leveraging first class sector expertise.
Our global approach to investment includes access to primary funds such as specialist, private markets funds and listed investment trusts, secondaries, direct and co-investments. Strategies are offered as funds or bespoke solutions including segregated accounts and joint ventures.
This strategy has been developed to predominantly invest into private equity funds and related exposures that are focused on achieving positive and measurable social and environmental outcomes alongside attractive financial returns.
The strategy represents a continuation of our core private equity strategy, which has been in place since 2000. With direct and indirect exposure to well over 150 managers globally, and look-through to over 3,000 private companies, there is a vast opportunity set from which to invest.
The focus is on global buyout, growth equity and venture capital strategies with an emphasis on the mid-cap and large-cap segments of the market.
This strategy embraces the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs addressed include Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality, Affordable and Clean Energy, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Responsible Consumption and Production.
The aim of the strategy is to deliver consistent, lowly-correlated returns over the long-term whilst taking advantage of structural growth trends and contributing to a more sustainable future.
This is a global strategy focused on impact themes which gains its exposure to private infrastructure, agriculture and other natural capital exposure via specialist funds and co-investments. To date, over $600m has been committed across more than 100 investments* underpinned by a strong emphasis on sustainability, resource efficiency and helping to drive the energy transition.
Our investment approach for the strategy embraces the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and focuses on supporting three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: the Energy Transition, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Social and Economic Inclusion.
