Summary: The UK Stewardship Code was first introduced in 2010, setting the benchmark in the UK for institutional investors to meet ownership responsibilities in respect of their holdings of UK equities. The Code was updated in 2019 to reflect the fact that the investment market has changed considerably since the publication of the first Code in 2010, and investors are now applying to the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) to become signatories of the new Code. The new Code came into force on 1 January 2020.
M&G Investments' Annual Stewardship Report explains how we adhere to the UK Stewardship Code 2020, and highlights our engagement, voting and other responsible investment activities from throughout 2020. M&G Investments is a tier 1 signatory of the original Code, and we await the results from the FRC, due in the summer of 2021, of our signatory status for the new Code.

The value and income from any fund's assets will go down as well as up. This will cause the value of your investment to fall as well as rise. There is no guarantee that any fund will achieve its objective and you may get back less than you originally invested.
