M&G currently supports the European PRIIPs Template (EPT) and European MiFID Template (EMT), which are the data exchange templates endorsed by EFAMA to facilitate the dissemination of this information. We will however continue to review the support of other templates and provide updates in due course.
The purpose of this webpage is to make EPT data available to insurers wrapping M&G funds, and EMT data available to distributors & clients, to ensure that they are able to meet their regulatory obligations. The page also provides a summary document of the M&G Product Approval Process. Centred around client needs, the product development life cycle covers the key stages of product launches and their review. At the Feasibility stage, analysis of the proposition includes identification of the target market which informs product design and the overall launch proposal.
Please note that a revised EPT and EMT file will be made available each month for collection.
Should you have any further questions, please contact your Sales contact in the first instance.
Clients should make an independent assessment as to whether or not the PRIIPs and MiFID II data provided is fit for their own purposes.
Under MiFID II distributors and insurers will have to start asking investors about their sustainability preferences. To determine which funds are suitable, they require the funds' ESG data as without it they are not able to promote these strategies : this is where the EET comes into place!
What is EET?
The value and income from a fund’s assets will go down as well as up. This will cause the value of your investment to fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you originally invested.
