Some of its notable AI offerings include Office 365 Co-Pilot, AI-powered search engine Bing and web browser Edge.

Azure AI, a comprehensive platform offering a portfolio of AI services for developers and data scientists, allows users to build and deploy their own AI solutions taking advantage of the platform’s tools, developed through decades of research. Azure Cognitive Services is a platform offering customisable Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to companies in various industries. They use it for applications ranging from machine learning and knowledge mining to document process automation, machine translation, and speech transcription.
Saving time and effort
For example, Uber is using Azure Cognitive Services1 to strengthen the safety of both riders and drivers with Real-Time ID Check. The ride-hailing company has integrated the Computer Vision API to help drivers validate their identity through real-time selfies before accepting rides, enhancing overall security.
In another example, Scotland’s Aberdeen City Council used Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service2 as a platform to unify how its social workers collected, entered and accessed social care data, in order to create a unified picture of citizen needs, care history, and status to allow faster and more accurate care. As a result, social workers can now put together care reports on citizens in minutes, saving time and effort. The availability of the reports is also improving the efficiency and speed of care services.
And in health insurance, AXA developed3, with the help of Microsoft’s Azure, services that integrate patients’ physical and digital healthcare journeys while offering them support from the fist symptoms through to medical treatment. Its resulting platform connects hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, health tech solutions, insurers and other organisations to make patients’ access to healthcare as efficient and frictionless as possible.
