Dolby Financial Planning is a local company with a number of experienced Financial Advisers situated across the country. As a Member of The Advice Partnership from Prudential, they have over 20 years of combined experienced in the financial services industry.

Dolby Finanical Planning helps people achieve financial security by providing expertise across all areas of financial planning, including retirement, investments, and estate planning. They take pride in providing investment solutions to meet their individual clients’ needs, following a rigorous assessment of each client’s financial circumstances.

William Antill
Ben Fotheringham

William is an experienced Financial Adviser with 15 years in the financial industry and a Diploma in Financial Planning and the Practical Investment Planning qualification.

After three successful years as a financial adviser with Prudential Financial Planning, William was delighted to establish his own financial advice business, Dolby Financial Planning, as part of The Advice Partnership from Prudential.

William has been helping people achieve financial security throughout his career and has expertise across all areas of lifestyle financial planning, including retirement, investments, and estate planning. William takes pride in providing solutions that help clients enjoy the future they have envisioned by providing bespoke and personal advice, following a rigorous understanding of each client’s lifestyle needs.

Quite simply, William provides sound, personal and expert advice.

In his spare time, William can be found clay pigeon shooting, out walking his belligerent Basset Hound or spending quality time with his wife Kathryn.

From 19th November 2021, “Prudential Financial Planning” and “The Advice Partnership from Prudential” are now known as “M&G Wealth Advice”.

Ben has worked in finance for 5 years and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning. After 4 successful years as a mortgage advisor working both in the UK and in Dubai Ben was delighted to join Dolby Financial Planning , as part of The Advice Partnership from Prudential.

In his spare time, Ben can be found playing golf, hiking through the countryside or spending time with his two nephews.

February 2021

I have known Bill in his capacity as a Financial Adviser working for Prudential since July 2016.

He contacted me to offer a review of my Prudential pension, which I accepted. At that time I didn’t need to make any changes, but at the meeting with Bill, he was friendly, knowledgeable and professional in his approach. He listened to my questions and concerns and was able to give clear, authoritative and reassuring responses.

In 2017 I met with Bill again to discuss some plans I had. He explained the need for and advantages of advice, the complete process of assessing my financial circumstances including the pension, understanding my future financial requirements and objectives, suitability for reinvesting. And initiation of the action needed was carried out by the Prudential in line with explanations given by Bill at the outset.

Since taking up the initial financial advice, I have since met with Bill each year to discuss additional financial planning. Bill has provided a prompt response to any further questions arising and has ensured that information requested on the performance of my investments is readily available.

I am pleased to report that so far that the advice appears to be sound with performance in line with the expectations given by Bill. This has enabled me to look at my future plans with confidence.

Throughout the two and a half years or so that Bill has been my Adviser he has always been able to help sort out various aspects of my financial planning, always on hand to discuss any questions or issues that I have had.

Bill took time to understand my circumstances and what I wanted to achieve going forward. He talked me through my pension options and explained how each could work. He took me through and explained some retirement scenarios based on my circumstances and objectives for the future. He explained other areas of financial planning and we were able to deal with those as well.

After our first meeting Bill kept me informed of the progress he was making on my case.

At our next meeting, Bill explained the recommendation in full including the next steps in the process. Answering any questions that I had in an open and clear manner.

His friendly and approachable manner has made what can be a complex situation very simple and straightforward.
