Joe Payne

Joe is one of the Co-Founders at Fortify Wealth. He holds a Law degree and started his career in Merchant Banking, working for the FTSE 250 Bank Close Brothers. Following this, he joined Octopus Investments where he worked alongside and trained Financial Advisers, Accountants and Solicitors across the UK in complex tax planning and investments. Joe takes pride in building relationships with his clients, helping them plan for the future and explaining detailed concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Outside of work, he enjoys golf, fitness, spending time with friends and family and good quality coffee.

Qualifications: LLB, IMC, DipPFS

Tom Wood

Prior to Co-Founding Fortify Wealth, Tom enjoyed working at firms such as Morgan Stanley, RBS, Bank of New York Mellon and, most recently, spent over eight years at Octopus Investments where he ran a distribution team of 11 helping Private Banks, Wealth Managers and Financial Advisers with their more complex tax planning. During his time at Octopus Investments, Tom obtained a thorough understanding of how to best service clients and ensure their long term goals are met.

Away from helping his clients plan for their future, Tom has three main joys in life - sport, time with the family and travel.

Qualifications: DipPFS, CertPFS (DM), BSc (Hons)
