Fixed maturity bond funds

Diversified bond portfolios that give visibility over likely returns at a set maturity date.

These provide a way of investing in a diversified portfolio of bonds that gives investors advance knowledge of the potential return they will receive when the product matures. Such strategies can be of particular interest when bond yields are at attractive levels.

We are able to tailor new launches to meet specific maturity, yield, credit rating and diversification requirements. A dedicated fixed maturity investment team builds and manages the funds, harnessing the expertise of M&G’s large team of experienced credit analysts.

Why now?

After central banks around the globe hiked interest rates aggressively in the early 2020s, there has been a broader shift towards holding or gently easing interest rates more recently, as they look to balance cooling inflation with the risks of slowing growth.

We believe that yields on eurozone investment grade corporate bonds and high yield bonds may still offer an attractive entry point for fixed maturity products. These can allow investors to ‘lock in’ current yield levels ahead of any further potential declines.
