At M&G Investments, we have a range of public and private market impact investing strategies that aim to generate solid financial returns while delivering clear benefits to society and the planet.

Public asset strategies

Our public asset strategies invest in companies providing solutions across six environmental and social impact areas, including Climate action, Circular economy, Social inclusion, and Better work and education.

Private asset strategies

Our private asset strategies also target positive social and environmental impacts by investing in private equity, credit and real assets, in areas including Social inclusion, Better health and Environmental solutions.

Please note that all information shown on Impact Hub is only related to M&G Investments Impact Investing strategies and it’s not representative of all M&G Investments capabilities. Any decision to invest into M&G Impact Investing strategies should take into account all strategies’ characteristics or objectives as described in their prospectus.

Spotlight:
Social inclusion

We have a problem

A significant number of people worldwide still do not have access to a bank account.

TThis chart shows the percentage of adults in low, middle and high-income countries with an account at a financial institution or with a mobile money service provider, from 2011 to 2021.

What can we do?

Impact equity investors aim to generate a positive social or environmental impact alongside a financial return, by investing in quality companies providing solutions to the world’s biggest challenges.

Example of a company we invest in: Bank Rakyat Indonesia

Bank Rakyat Indonesia is helping to foster financial inclusion in Indonesia, by providing microfinance services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Are we on track?

There was no change in 2022 according to our internal SDG scorecard.

SDG 8: Share of young people who are not in employment, education or training

SDG8 is an especially broad SDG covering multiple economic and labour-related targets, but our selected metric of promoting youth employment has seen a slight improvement this year. Nevertheless, concerns are mounting over the possibility of an economic downturn, with much further progress needed on protecting labour rights and promoting safe work

While we support the UN SDGs, we are not associated with the UN and our funds are not endorsed by them.
