You can make an investment with M&G online, by phone or by post. Please see our Invest with M&G page for further information.
If you don't wish to provide instructions over the phone or online via My Account, all forms can be downloaded from our Application forms page.
If you invest over the phone or by post, the minimum initial lump sum investment into an M&G fund is £500 (£500,000 for Sterling Class I Shares). Alternatively, if you invest via our online service, myM&G, you can start an investment with just £1. For regular investment amounts the minimum is £10 and for additional lump sumps the minimum is £100. This applies across all products and share classes (excluding the I share class). Full information can be found in our Important Information for Investors document. There are no maximum investment limits.
For most M&G funds, investors can choose between Sterling Class A Shares, Sterling Class I Shares and Sterling Class R Shares (for advised customers only). Each has a different level of charges and minimum investment. Each share class has been designed with different investment needs in mind. Details on charges can be found in the Key Investor Information Documents (KIIDs) of each fund page within the Fund Centre, and the minimum investment limits can be found in the Important Information for Investors document. You can also visit our Share classes page for further information.
If you have an ISA or Junior ISA with another provider, you can transfer it to M&G at any time. Please see our Transfer your ISA to M&G page for further information.
Once you have invested with M&G, you will receive a welcome pack through the post. This will contain a Welcome Brochure and a formal acknowledgement detailing the investment that has been made. Please check this document carefully.
To help you understand and compare a fund’s sustainability characteristics, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) implemented standalone consumer-facing disclosures (CFD) for all labelled funds and unlabelled funds with sustainability characteristics. This is a short, two-page document that clearly summaries what the fund’s sustainability goals and/or characteristics are and the metrics used to track progress. It can be found on each of the fund pages of our sustainability products and will give you the essential information needed to understand if a fund’s approach aligns with your own values without requiring you to be an expert.
The KIID describes the key information you need to know about a fund before you invest, such as the nature of the fund, its charges, and the risks associated with investing into it. Information contained in the KIIDs is required by law and enables easy fund comparison across different asset management companies. Each share class and share type of every fund will have a KIID. The information is concise and specific, so it’s quick and easy to decide if the fund meets your needs. You can find this document in our Fund Centre.
The Important Information for Investors document is not specific to individual funds and provides information on the products where you can invest in M&G funds. It also contains M&G’s Terms and Conditions.
So that you have all the information you need to make your investment decision about M&G products and M&G funds, prior to investing. It is a Financial Conduct Authority requirement that investors must receive and read both documents before investing.
