You’ll receive an annual statement during the first six months of the year.

Yes, your Lifetime Mortgage can be transferred to another property if you move home. Your new home must meet our lending criteria, and you may need to make a partial repayment. This means that you don't have to stay where you are if your circumstances change. If you’d like more information about this process, please have a look at our Moving home flyer which will give you more detail about what’s involved.

Before making any decisions, we recommend that you speak to a financial adviser. An adviser can look at your finances and chat about your goals for the future. If you don't have a financial adviser, you can find one at unbiased.co.uk

Using an adviser means the Financial Ombudsman Service offers you protection against the advice they give you. If you go ahead without advice, you’ll be taking responsibility for your choices and your own decision. This means the Financial Ombudsman doesn’t give you the same protection for the decision you make, but you can still refer any matter to them if you feel you haven’t been treated fairly.

Not all product options allow you to release additional funds. If you're unsure about whether you can release more funds, please call us on 0345 656 0000. Our Customer Services Team will be able to confirm the exact amount of money available to you based on the conditions of your particular plan.

Please note that under certain circumstances the facility of further withdrawals could be restricted.

If you do have additional borrowing available and you’d like to release some additional funds, please follow the steps outlined below. The additional funds could be with you in 10-12 days from your call.

Step 1: Decide how much you want to take

Your latest annual statement will give you an indication of what funds you have available. To find out exactly how much is available to you please call us on 0345 656 0000.

The interest rate that will apply to additional borrowing will be the rate applicable at the time of your request. This will be shown on your Offer Document.

A £90 fee applies for all additional borrowing payments. This fee is deducted from the additional borrowing amount that you have requested unless you hold a Stonehaven Lifetime Mortgage then the fee is added to the loan amount.

Step 2: Request Additional Borrowing

If you have funds available and you’d like to take advantage of some or all of these, please call us on 0345 656 0000 or send a message by going to pru.co.uk/prumail and completing the online drawdown request. Please let us know how much you'd like to release (criteria and minimums apply). If you previously had a Stonehaven Lifetime Mortgage, you can only request the release of additional funds by phone.

Step 3: Additional Borrowing Offer Document

We’ll then send you an Additional Borrowing Offer Document. Please read the Offer Document carefully as it contains important information about the impact that further borrowing will have on your Lifetime Mortgage. Please make sure you fully understand the offer and its associated risks before you go ahead. Important information that you should consider can be found in Section 7 of your Offer Document. If you’re in any way unsure please call us for more information or seek financial advice.

If you’d like to go ahead, complete the acceptance form within the Offer Document with your bank details and signature(s). When we receive the completed form back, we’ll transfer your funds to your bank account within three working days.

Yes, you can repay your mortgage in full or in part at any time. This plan is a long-term loan so if you choose to repay your loan early then charges may apply.

If you have a series of loans, loans with the highest interest rate will be repaid first.

If you have two or more loans with the same interest rate, the loan with the lowest Early Repayment charge will be repaid first.

You can find more information about the charges in the Tariff of Charges document.

An early repayment charge won’t apply if the mortgage is being repaid if you pass away or need to go into long term care as the sole or last remaining borrower.

If you’re thinking about repaying your Lifetime Mortgage, we recommend you consider this decision carefully to ensure this is right option for you at this time.

The interest rate that applies to your loan(s) is set when the funds are released and won’t change. The interest rate(s) that apply will be shown on your Offer Document and annual statements.
