Your Prudential ISA is designed to help you save in a tax-efficient way and provide you with the ability to take out your money when and how you need it.

It offers a range of Prudential investment solutions that aim to meet your investment needs and risk appetite, and are all designed for customers who are looking to invest for the medium to long term (five to ten years or more).

Your product provider and ISA Manager

Your Prudential ISA is provided by Waystone Financial Investments Limited. They are the ISA Plan Manager, and are responsible for all regulatory and legal aspects of the ISA. They provide all customer services, including issuing contract notes, statements and other post-sales communications. These contract notes, statements and other post-sales communications will be Waystone branded.

Keep up to date with your plan using the Prudential ISA Online Service

By registering for online access to your Prudential ISA you’ll be helping the planet by reducing the amount of paper produced for the Prudential ISA product, and you’ll be able to;

  • Access your important documents digitally
  • Check the value of your Prudential ISA
  • Check how much ISA allowance you have left in the current tax year
  • View transactions that have taken place on your Prudential ISA
  • Update your personal information
  • Top-up your ISA*
  • Withdraw money from your ISA*

*If you and your adviser, if you have one, agree you should submit this online yourself.

You’ll need the following information to login;

  • Your username (this is the email address held on your Prudential ISA)
  • Your password
  • Your memorable word

If you can’t remember your memorable word, you’ll be able to access a link to change it when you’ve entered your username and password on the initial login screen.

There are two ways you can register for online access with Waystone Financial Investments Limited.

Self-registration

This is a two-stage process. You’ll have to request a unique code as part of the registration process which Waystone Financial Investments Limited will post to you so that you can complete the registration process.

You’ll need to be the ISA account holder and have the following information to hand when registering:

  • Your ISA Investor Id 
  • Your date of birth
  • Your national insurance number.

Register

Ask your financial adviser to invite you to register

This is the quickest way to register as you won’t need a unique code required under the self-registration option described above.

Contact your financial adviser to let them know you want to get access to the Prudential ISA Online Service and ask them to invite you to register by selecting the ‘Invite client to register’ option on the Client Record page for your Prudential ISA which they can access from their Adviser Dashboard.

You can invest your annual ISA subscription across one Lifetime ISA and as many Stocks & Shares, Cash and Innovative Finance ISAs as you wish in any one tax year. Your Prudential ISA is a Stocks & Shares ISA and you can only hold one Prudential ISA policy with the ISA manager, Waystone Financial Investments Limited.

Certain details can be updated using the online service and the remainder need to be directed to Waystone Financial Investments Limited. The quickest way to update certain details is through the online service.

The following details can be updated using the online service;

  • Your email address
  • Your bank details
  • Your contact telephone number(s)
  • Your registered home address

Your financial adviser can update these details using their online access, or you can update online if you have registered for access.

The following details can’t be updated using the online service;

  • Change of name

Please complete the Prudential ISA – Change of personal details form.

Using an adviser means the Financial Ombudsman Service offers you protection against the advice they give you. Whether you get advice or not, if you feel you haven’t been treated fairly, you can refer any matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service. They help settle individual disputes between consumers and businesses providing financial services.

If you have a financial adviser they can process the application using the online service on your behalf.

The online service provides you with the option to add more money to your Prudential ISA. However, we strongly recommend you only do this if you and your adviser, if you have one, have agreed you’ll submit this online yourself.

There's currently no charge for switching, although we reserve the right to apply a charge in the future.

Any switch out of a PruFund fund will be made 28 days after your switch request is received by Waystone Financial Investments Limited using the unit price on the 28th day. Once the switch request has been received and accepted by Waystone Financial Investments Limited you can’t cancel it.

Any switch made into a PruFund fund is switched into the relevant PruFund Account fund for that PruFund fund. It will remain invested in that PruFund Account fund until the next quarter date, at which point all funds in that PruFund Account fund will be switched into the PruFund fund.

Please note, if you are looking to switch into a PruFund fund you do not already hold, this can only be performed through your/a financial adviser.

You can access your money at any time, however certain conditions apply to the withdrawals you can take from your ISA.

You can fully encash the value of your Prudential ISA at any time.

We reserve the right to delay a full withdrawal from PruFund funds until the 14th day after receipt by Waystone Financial Investments Limited of the withdrawals request, or next working day if that day is not a working day. This is in order to protect the With-Profits Sub-Fund and therefore the interests of all its with-profits policyholders and shareholders.

The minimum amount you can take as a partial withdrawal from any one of your fund holdings is £250 per fund, and the remaining value of that fund after the withdrawal must be at least £500.

We reserve the right to delay a partial withdrawal from PruFund funds until the 14th day after receipt by Waystone Financial Investments Limited of the withdrawals request, or next working day if that day is not a working day. This is in order to protect the With-Profits Sub-Fund and therefore the interests of all its with-profits policyholders and shareholders.

Regular withdrawals can be paid on the 5th or 20th of the month and can be paid on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annual basis. The payment will be made on the selected payment day, or the next working day if this falls on a weekend or bank holiday, and will reach your bank account within 4 working days of the payment date.

You must select the fund(s) and the regular withdrawal amount(s) you wish to take from those funds.

The minimum amount you can take as a regular withdrawal from any one of your fund holdings is £50 per fund, and the remaining value of that fund after a regular withdrawal must be at least £500. This means if the regular withdrawal to be taken from a fund were to take the value of that fund below £500, the regular withdrawal amount from that particular fund will not be able to be made. So your total regular withdrawal paid from your ISA would either cease or be for a reduced amount.

The total value of the regular withdrawals to be taken in any 12 month period must not exceed 100% of the value of your Prudential ISA. This calculation is performed when the withdrawal is established, on its re-commencement following any suspension, or should the amount be increased.

There are a number of ways you can take money out of your Prudential ISA.

If you have a financial adviser they can process the withdrawal request using the online service on your behalf.

The online service provides you with the option to request withdrawals from your Prudential ISA. However, we strongly recommend you only do this if you and your adviser, if you have one, have agreed you’ll submit this online yourself.

The ISA plan manager, Waystone Financial Investments Limited, will provide you with statements throughout the year.

You’ll be provided with a statement every three months showing how your ISA has performed and any transactions that have occurred over the previous quarter.

Quarter When issued
Q1

towards the end of April / beginning of May each year and will cover the period from 6th January to 5th April.
Q2

towards the end of July / beginning of August each year and will cover the period from 6th April to 5th July.
Q3

towards the end of October / beginning of November each year and will cover the period from 6th July to 5th October.
Q4

towards the end of January / beginning of February each year and will cover the period from 6th October to 5th January.

As a result of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II introduced in January 2018 and the Insurance Distribution Directive in October 2018, Waystone Financial Investments Limited are required to provide you with a statement at least yearly showing the costs and charges paid under your Prudential ISA. Link issue this statement in March each year covering the costs and charges you paid over the previous calendar year, i.e. from 1st January to the 31st December. 

If you close your Prudential ISA, Waystone are also required to provide you with a final cost and charges statement. This final statement will be issued in March following closure of your ISA and will show the costs and charges paid from the 1st January to the date of closure of your ISA.
