Making changes to your ISA

Before making changes to your ISA, we recommend speaking to a financial adviser. They can help you decide if it’s the right move for your goals and circumstances.

There are two ways to top-up online.

  1. Your financial adviser can apply for you
They can submit the top-up application using the online service on your behalf.
  2. You can apply online yourself
You can submit your own top-up application through the online service - but only if you and your adviser (if you have one) agree it's suitable for you to do so.

If you're not comfortable submitting your top-up application online, or don’t have a financial adviser, you can call WFI on 0344 335 8936.

  • You can switch all or part of your investment between funds. For details, see page 3 of the Switching Instruction Form
  •  There's currently no charge for switching, although we reserve the right to apply a charge in the future.

Switching out of a PruFund Fund

  • The switch will be processed 28 days after WFI receives your request.
  • The unit price used will be the price on the 28th day.
  • Once the request is received and accepted, it can’t be cancelled.

Switching into a PruFund fund

  • The investment is initially made into the relevant PruFund Account Fund.
  • It remains in the Account Fund until the next quarter date.
  • At that point, it’s switched into the actual PruFund fund.
  • If you want to switch into a PruFund Fund that you don’t currently hold, this must be done through a financial adviser.

  • You can access your money at any time.
  • Certain conditions apply to the withdrawals you can take from your ISA.

Expected Growth Rates for the PruFund range of funds

Expected Growth Rates (EGRs) reflect our view of how each PruFund fund will perform over the long term (up to 15 years). Rates are reviewed every three months to reflect changes in long‑term outlook—meaning your EGR may go up or down on a quarterly basis.

Our PruFund range of funds page shows the current Expected Growth Rates (EGRs) for each PruFund fund as well as the Prudential ISA

The value of an investment can go down as well as up and the value in the future may be less than the amount invested. For the range of PruFund funds, what you receive will depend on the value of the underlying investments, the Expected Growth Rates as set by the Prudential Directors, our charges, the smoothing process, if there is a guarantee, and when you take your money out.

Your ISA statements

WFI will provide you with statements throughout the year. These fall into two categories:

You’ll be provided with a statement every three months showing how your ISA has performed and any transactions that have occurred over the previous quarter.

Q1: issued towards the end of April/beginning of May. Covers 6 January  - 5 April.

Q2: issued towards the end of July/beginning of August. Covers 6 April – 5 July.

Q3: issued towards the end of October/beginning of November. Covers 6 July to 5 October.

Q4: issued towards the end of January/beginning of February. Covers 6 October to 5 January.

As a result of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II introduced in January 2018 and the Insurance Distribution Directive in October 2018, WFI are required to provide you with a statement at least yearly showing the costs and charges paid under your Prudential ISA. Link issue this statement in March each year covering the costs and charges you paid over the previous calendar year, i.e. from 1st January to the 31st December.

If you close your Prudential ISA, WFI are also required to provide you with a final cost and charges statement. This final statement will be issued in March following closure of your ISA and will show the costs and charges paid from the 1st January to the date of closure of your ISA.
