Consumer Duty virtual events - 3 part series

Part 1 - Consumer Duty - what does it all mean and how much it fit in with research and suitability processes?

This session will be looking at what the Consumer Duty means for advisers/advisory firms overall, and what else might be needed when it comes to research and suitability. For example, how does it affect any Centralised Investment Proposition (CIP) and Centralised Retirement Proposition (CRP) you have in place?

Part 2 – How can technology help you with Consumer Duty?

This session will focus on how technology can help you meet the new requirements, what’s already available and what further developments and actions might be needed.


In addition, we'll look at our range of tools and calculators and how they can be used to help meet client objectives.


13 Oct 2022 – 10am to 11.30am 

Part 3 – Platforms and servicing – meeting the Consumer Duty requirements

This session will look at the due diligence and governance that needs to be considered when researching a platform or product provider, and what changes may be needed in the future.


We’ll also consider where the responsibility lies in the distribution chain for assessing value for money, as well as what is happening at M&G Wealth to ensure that we have the right support in place for advisers in terms of meeting their Consumer Duty.

Model Portfolio Services Q4 update

The session will cover the three model portfolio service ranges offered by M&G Wealth Investments, which are passive, hybrid and Global ESG themes range. We’ll explain the differences between the ranges, and how the portfolios are managed. We’ll talk through our investment process, which consists of building the strategic asset allocation, selecting funds, setting tactical views, constructing portfolios and evaluating risk.
